BRENT RIDGE - NAC CLASSES 02.08.15

SOMETHING OLD AND SOMETHING NEW AND SOMETHING BORROWED

Welcome everyone - its a new session of Painting at the NAC and what I would like is for you to bring something Old and something New and something Borrowed.

That Old thing could be any kind of painting you've made in the past to show off or to rework (it will help us get to know each other and what we like and how we work).

That New thing could be a blank surface of any kind - canvas, paper, cardboard - preferably something you feel you can experiment with and not feel precious about and good sized (at least 20 x 16 IN or so).

That Borrowed thing is your inspiration - it can be a physical object if you like to paint from life, or a photograph or something more abstract like a color swatch - don't think about this too much, it should only be something that seems interesting to you.

Bring with you your favorite painting materials to begin our journey –
and we'll go over the materials list for the rest of the class.

See you Monday, Brent
