BRENT RIDGE - NAC CLASSES - 03.22.16

LAST CLASS

As we emerge from our dark days of winter into springtime bliss,
it is with some resignation to say that we have ventured to our last class.
You have made some incredible works, you have grown from seedlings into full bloom.
We will meet this final time to again let color enter the barren field of canvas and paper --- and grow into something new.

In the style of everybody's favorite technique, come ready to approach your painting with a technique we've previously explored or one you are itching to get advice about and we will hatch a plan to make it together.

Here's some Spring-ish inspiration:

BRENT RIDGE - NAC CLASSES 03.08.16

OPEN STUDIO

Hello all - in my absence this week,
you are invited to use the ELVAS STUDIO for your own use.
This is your inspiration, should you follow it as the week's challenge:
Repeat a Painting - using a previously made painting, make a new painting reusing the composition, the forms, or the color scheme.  This is how you can begin to form a style, or a series of works, and the challenge of repeating yourself without just copying is something everyone should attempt as some point.

Here's a painterly example:
